Therapy for Neurodivergence
It’s time to work with a neurodivergence-informed therapist if…
You know therapy must consider the impact of your neurodivergence on all your experiences
You want more knowledgeable guidance — without expecting dismissal and invalidation
You want to feel more unmasked, uninhibited, and uncensored in therapy
You need close, focused support working with (not against) your unique brain tendencies
You want to navigate your challenges with more tools and more self-acceptance
People usually feel misunderstood, invalidated, and under-supported when therapy doesn’t identify or examine the effects of neurodivergence.
When your brain has developed in an autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD way, this impacts everything. It impacts how you’ve adapted in the past, your experiences with relationships of all types, how you meet demands in the present, and even how you show up in therapy.
You deserve a therapy space that takes this all into consideration. In our therapy, you’ll have a place that always welcomes your authentic self and meets your unique tendencies with respect. Whenever you’re unclear or unsure, we’ll explore and examine clues that might suggest evidence of neurodivergence. You’ll be guided in developing an even more self-aware, self-accepting, and supportive relationship with your neurodivergence. And this will unlock more clarity into how your needs can be fulfilled, and how you can feel more whole.

Your unique styles of communication, information processing, and attention patterns will always be respected and accommodated. We will work with them, instead of against them, while reaching your goals. Because this is what’s biologically natural for your brain.
Whenever needed, you’ll be welcomed to stim, be less verbal or non-verbal, infodump, and/or use whatever level of eye contact feels comfortable.
Your sensory sensitivities will be taken into consideration as much as possible.
Because your brain wiring is always with you, your neurodivergence will always be factored into how we understand and approach all your experiences.

Providing a formal diagnosis is beyond the scope of my license and training. You’ll need to get a neuropsychological evaluation from a psychologist (rather than a therapist) — preferably one who specializes in neurodivergence.
Self-diagnosis is also valid, especially if you’ve been thorough enough in exploring it. I could definitely assist you in that journey and/or in seeking a formal evaluation from a psychologist.
Although self-diagnosis is insufficient for requesting work or school accommodations, it could be a crucial step towards gaining clarity, reducing internalized stigma, and feeling more whole.
